"God will not ask how many books you have read; how many miracles you have worked. He will ask you if you have done your best, for the love of Him. Can you in all sincerity say, 'I have done my best'? Even if the best is failure, it must be our best, our utmost... You may be exhausted, with work you may even kill yourself, but unless your work is interwoven with love, it is useless. To work without love is slavery."
--Mother Teresa

Do your best

I believe that ultimately I will be judged as a woman that lived her life the best way I could, and that is more than I can say about a lot of Christians. As my friend Dr. Linda pointed out to me, when Jesus walked the Earth he was with the lepers and the prostitutes, those people that society shunned, and if he were here today he would be with the transsexuals, too. I like to think about the phrase "What would Jesus do?", and all too often I think that is it NOT what people do to a lot of transsexuals.

“In every church I have ever attended, the people with real problems hid them rather than seeking support, and those who didn’t hide them wished they had, after the doses of guilt, judgment, or alienation they received.” – Phillip C McGraw, PhD., in the book “Life Strategies”.

It shouldn’t be this way; that’s not what religion is supposed to be about.  I hope you fare well.

The Bible doesn't say it's a sin

I have it from good authority that the Bible doesn't cover being transgendered, but I am not an expert in that field.  The bible does cover homosexuality, and most people mistakenly believe that this has to do with sexuality.  It doesn’t. That's not to say there is anything good or bad about homosexuality; that's just how I understand it all.

I have a list of valuable Spiritual Links on my site that has my most up-to-date resources for the spiritual transsexual, things written to help those struggling with faith and gender.
